About Me and My Qualifications Hello, My name is Fay Dunn; I’m 33 years old and an Ofsted registered child minder and a member of NCMA - National Childminding Association. I’m fully insured and registered with Ofsted. My partner Neale and I live in Edenbridge with our 2 year old daughter Olivia and our baby Ellie. During my 19 years of childcare experience I have cared for children from newborn babies up to 18 year old teenagers. I have worked in many different environments including day nurseries and working in family homes as a personal nanny. I have a Diploma in NNEB- nursery nursing which I completed in 1995 and I completed my DHC1 course last year (Diploma in Home Based Childcare). I am also First Aid qualified. I decided to use my child care experience to start my own home based childminding business. This allows me to enjoy bringing up Olivia in her home environment coupled with the added benefit of learning and sharing with other children. I passionately believe for children to thrive they need a secure and happy environment where they are encouraged to develop their individual personalities in a creative and constructive way.
